XRAYSCAN INDEXING PROGRAM:

xrayscan.exe: An integrated program which handles over makexrd.exe, rscan.exe 
              and xview.exe.  
makexrd.exe : A program preparing initial conditions for gscan.exe as a .dat 
              file.
rscan.exe   : Random scan, a similar autoindexing program with different 
              searching strategy as gscan.
xview.exe   : A program to review and print the results of gscan.exe.
egavga.bgi  : A Turbo Pascal driver for EGA and VGA.
mn3o4_p.dat : A file for autoindexing pure hexagonal Mn3O4 by gscan.exe. 
mn3o4_sp.dat: A file for autoindexing hexagonal Mn3o4 by gscan.exe with 4 
              additional spurious peaks.
mn3o4_13.dat: A file for autoindexing hexagonal Mn3o4 by gscan.exe with 13 
              additional spurious peaks.
hexa.dat    : Hexagonal sample.
tetra.dat   : Tetragonal sample. It is the same as mn3o4_p.dat.
cubic.dat   : Cubic sample.
ortho.dat   : Othorhombic sample.
engxray4.rtf: a paper describing the features of XRAYSCAN program, which is
              prepared by word 6.0 (converted to rtf format from the chinese 
              version word). There is a possibility that the equations look 
              strange, on occuring, please double click the equation to
              refresh the display.

Usage of XRAYSCAN:
 The programs are easy and straightforward to use, 
 no special commands are needed. The syntax is quite simple:
 xrayscan  [filename.dat] 
 makexrd   [filename.dat]
 rscan.exe [filename.dat]
 xview.exe [fileneme.dat].
 The filename.dat is the file to be analyzed by the program.
 The programs wait for the keyboard input of filename if the 
 filename is not specified. Among the programs, xrayscan is a 
 integrated program which combines the other sub programs.
 For a good start, try the following commands as an example:
 xrayscan
 xrayscan cubic.dat    
 xrayscan tetra.dat  
 rscan hexa.dat     
  ....etc.

 Note: To determine a trustful indexing table and cell parameters of 
 your sample, more information, such as the desity, the possible  
 lattice system, and the appraximate cell parameters of the 
 sample, are strongly recommanded.
