Why bother with an experiment ?
Simulating crystals as a teaching tool and to analyze defect

To create an exciting and effective workshop, we kindly ask you to
provide us with important information. This will help us to accomodate
the workshop to your level of expertise.
Specifically we would like to know:
- Your address and email address.
- Your experience with teaching.
- Your experience with computer/WEB applications for teaching.
- Are there specific topics in diffraction / crystal structure
analysis / computer applications that you would like to see
addressed ?
- Are you already a user of DISCUS, if so how familiar do you feel
with the program?
- Are there specific topics in diffuse scattering / defect structure
simulations that you would like to see addressed ?
- What will be you main interest ? Teaching applications or diffuse
scattering ?
We expect that there will be a fee for attending the workshop. To this
date no specific amount has been specified. We are trying to get grants
to cover the costs, especially for young scientists.
