Setting Stop Words

You can specify words you do not want to appear in your index. These are called "stop words." To enter stop words:

1. At the QuestManager open Settings dialog and click Stop Words. The Stop Words panel appears.



You can select one of the following stop words methods:

• use the default stop words
• use stop words that have been defined in a text file
• specify stop words within this dialog box

2. To enter stop words, type a word in the Word(s) text box and then click Add. The word(s) are added to the list. You can use Delete to remove a selected stop word, Clear All to remove all entries, or Get Default to view the default list.

Note: Stop words work in addition to the frequency parameters provided in the Advanced Settings panel.

3. When you are finished entering stop words, click OK.
