Catalog viewer ver1.4

1.Abstract
Catalog viewer is a simple image viewer application with thumbnail and slide-show. It reads JPEG, GIF and BMP(MS-Windows bit map image) format.

2.System requirement for Catalog viewer
Catalog viewer is a stand alone Java application. Sun JDK1.1 based Java-VM is need to run Catalog viewer.
I sugget to install IE5.0 on your PC. It includes the latest Java-VM. Default setup on IE5.0 does not update Java-VM. Please additional install and select "Update Java-VM".

3.How to start
If you use Windows95/NT4.0 and IE4.0:
Double click "CatalogViewer.exe" to start Catalog viewer.

If you use JDK1.1 or JDK1.2:
Copy *.class files into CLASSPATH directory. Type "java CatalogViewer" on console.

4.How to use
Catalog viewer works like a Windows Explorer. Click directory tree to see thumbnail image files on target directory. Drag and drop image files into directory tree to move image files. If CTRL key down, image files will be copied.

If your PC mounts multiple disks, Please select "Edit root directory" from edit menu. And add root directory. If you use "CatalogViewer.exe", You do not have to select root directory.

5.Preferences
5.1 General preferences
Select "Preferences" command from "Edit" menu.

5.2 Slide show preferences
Select "Slide show preferences" command from "Edit" menu.

6.Another information
Please change typical image file name as "000.jpg" or "000.gif" or "000.bmp". You can see its thumbnail image with folder icon from upper directory.

If image file name is end with "_r", Catalog viewer displays image as rotate right. (ie. "image1_r.jpg") If image file name is end with "_l", Catalog viewer displays image as rotate left.
To create thumbnail files
If your PC has IE4.0... Double click "CreateThumbnail.exe".
If your PC has JDK1.1.. Type "java CreateThumbnail" on console.

To delete thumbnail files
If your PC has IE4.0... Double click "DeleteThumbnail.exe".
If your PC has JDK1.1.. Type "java DeleteThumbnail" on console.

7.If you have a trouble about Catalog viewer
If thumbnail image is monochromatic, Please change your PC's color mode as 24bit. 32bit color mode is not available on Catalog viewer.
If your Catalog viewer does not work right, Please delete "CatalogViewer.ini" which is on the same directory as "CatalogViewer.class".

8.About Catalog viewer
Catalog viewer is a freeware. You may distribute this product on a non-profit basis. I'm very happy if you give me a bug report or comments.
